 
Dear YES Mag,
I teach seventh grade art and have been teaching the geodesic dome
for about three years. Because of the logistics of storing the large
domes, I have my students create head pieces/hats from the dome.
We use the same procedure, just smaller. The newspaper logs are
made from only two small squares and cut to about five and a half
inches each. The students then use their imaginations and anything
they can gather to embellish their creations. This is a very popular
project!
